Azkar supports several initiatives that contribute to the development of social
welfare. The company collaborates with different projects in various fields, and
holds agreements with social organisations that help disadvantaged groups or
persons with disabilities, among others. Within this field, the company also
holds an important commitment with the supporting of culture and sports, both
professional and amateur.

Azkar promotes culture and sports in Guipúzcoa, through the
support of the Fundación Kirolgi and the Fundación Kursaal. Both institutions
play an important role in the guipuzcoana society, sponsoring different
activities in theses fields.
Azkar Azkar holds a strong commitment with the supporting of sports. Since
2002, the company sponsors Azkar Lugo FS indoor football team that participates
in the División de Honor. Regarding junior sports, 168 persons including pupils,
instructors and coaches participate in the Escuela de Fútbol Sala Terra of Azkar
Lugo FS.
Azkar, en línea con su fuerte
compromiso con el deporte y sus jóvenes promesas, patrocina los equipos
juveniles de la Federación Gallega de Golf. Con este patrocinio, Azkar prestará
todo su apoyo a 40 jóvenes promesas del golf español durante las temporadas
2007-2010.
A través de su red de delegaciones Azkar presta su apoyo a otras iniciativas
deportivas como:
Concurso de Saltos Internacionales de A Coruña Vuelta Ciclista al País Vasco Las 6 horas de Euskadi
Además de a distintos clubes deportivos de índole local, en diferentes
disciplinas deportivas como hokey, baloncesto, futbol, etc.
